A well-respected secondary SEN school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a rewarding opportunity to support a student with additional needs, helping them engage with learning and develop essential skills for life.



The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a student with SEN within a classroom setting

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the SENCO to implement individual education plans

  • Encourage student engagement through creative and tailored support strategies

  • Maintain a calm, nurturing, and structured learning environment

  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to the wider support team



Requirements:

  • Previous school-based experience is essential - ideally in an SEN or support role

  • A track record of being proactive, hands-on, and adaptable to student needs

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong understanding of SEN, including autism, ADHD, or SEMH (desirable)

  • A patient, resilient, and compassionate attitude
