ADHD & Trauma Learning Support Assistant (SEN School - KS3)
Location: Greenwich,South East London
Schedule: Monday to Friday | Full-time | Temp to Perm
Pay: 100 - 115 per day (depending on experience)
Key Stage: KS3 (ages 11-14)
Setting: SEN Unit within a mainstream school
About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive SEN unit within a secondary school in Greenwich. This rewarding role involves working closely with Key Stage 3 students who have ADHD, experience of trauma, and a range of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity ideal for someone looking to make a lasting impact in the lives of young people while developing their career in SEN education.
Responsibilities:
Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with ADHD and trauma backgrounds
Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement in learning
Building positive and trusting relationships with students and staff
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and SENCo
Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people with ADHD, trauma, or SEMH needs (in education, care, or youth settings)
Strong behaviour management and emotional intelligence
A calm, compassionate, and consistent approach
A commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable learners
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
