Remedy Education is seeking a patient and enthusiastic ASD Learning Support Assistant to work in a specialist school in Southwark. This role involves supporting students on the autism spectrum within a structured and nurturing educational environment.



Role Overview:

As an ASD Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them engage with learning, develop social and communication skills, and build confidence in a safe and supportive setting.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support for students with ASD, including those who are non-verbal

  • Help implement individualised learning plans tailored to sensory and communication needs

  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

  • Assist with personal care where required

  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to create an inclusive learning environment



Requirements:

  • Experience working in a school or SEN setting (essential)

  • Understanding of Autism and associated behaviours

  • Calm, compassionate, and adaptable approach

  • Comfortable with personal care responsibilities

  • Team player with good communication skills
