Remedy Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated Autism Support Worker to join a vibrant and well-resourced SEN school in Lewisham. This is a full-time position supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), including non-verbal pupils and those with additional complex needs.



About the Role:

You will work closely with students on the autism spectrum, helping them to engage in learning, build independence, and develop key communication and life skills in a structured, nurturing environment.



Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting students with ASD on a 1:1 or small group basis

  • Assisting with the development and delivery of personalised learning plans

  • Using communication tools such as PECS, Makaton, or visual timetables

  • Managing sensory needs and emotional regulation

  • Providing personal care for students where required

  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to meet each child's needs



What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people with Autism (essential)

  • Previous school-based or SEN experience highly desirable

  • Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic attitude

  • Comfortable providing personal care support

  • Team player with strong communication skills
