Principal Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a range of primary and secondary schools across London. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting children and young people with social, emotional, and behavioural needs (SEMH).

As a Behaviour LSA, you will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to help pupils manage their behaviour, re-engage with learning, and build confidence and resilience. You’ll provide one-to-one and small-group support, implementing behaviour strategies, de-escalation techniques, and positive reinforcement approaches to promote emotional regulation and positive classroom behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs in and out of the classroom.
  • Implement individual behaviour plans and strategies under the guidance of the SENCO or class teacher.
  • Assist with learning activities, helping pupils to achieve their academic and social potential.
  • Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Record and report on progress, incidents, and pupil engagement
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support consistent behaviour management

What you MUST demonstrate:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs and behavioural challenges
  • Patience, empathy, composure, and diligence
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Recent enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Overseas police clearance if lived abroad for 6+ months in last 5 years
  • Based in London or within a commutable distance

Pay and benefits:

  • £100–£120 per day
