Early Help Family Support Worker

Duration: Initially 3 months
Hours: 35 hours per week
Rate: 28 umbrella an hour (21 PAYE an hour)

Lewisham Council are looking for an Early Help Coordinator to join their MASH Team. This role is a non-case holding role.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide training and scaffolding support to professionals across the partnership.
  • To develop, facilitate and coordinate working relationships and partnerships with a range of front-line staff and managers
  • Coordinate multi agency support across services to meet the needs of vulnerable children, young people and families by providing information advice and guidance to professionals
  • Use negotiating and influencing skills to identify and enable different agencies to undertake lead professional responsibilities
  • Undertake reviews of FARPs to ensure that progress is occurring to plan and timescales
  • Deliver and design training and support to local practitioners

Requirements:
  • An understanding of the spectrum of early help services and be able to guide/match the family to appropriate services based on information presented by referrer/family
  • Experience working as a Family Practitioner within an early help service
  • NVQ level 4 gained in a setting associated with children or young people and families or substantial professional experience
