We are looking for an experienced Housing Repairs Officer to support the delivery of repairs and maintenance across council housing stock. This position plays a critical role in ensuring residents receive a high-quality, responsive and efficient service. Working across specialisms such as responsive repairs, mechanical and electrical (M&E) services, and void management, you'll ensure that contractors deliver works to the expected standard and that all repairs are managed with transparency and value for money.

Key Responsibilities
路Oversee and coordinate day-to-day repairs, void works and M&E orders, ensuring timely progress and completion.
路Raise and manage repair orders and liaise with contractors, residents, and internal teams to ensure service excellence.
路Monitor and scrutinise submitted invoices against repair orders to ensure financial accuracy and governance.
路Maintain accurate records of safety certificates and compliance documentation.
路Work closely with Contract Surveyors to monitor performance, identify issues, and drive improvement in repair outcomes.
路Provide cover and flexibility across the team's specialisms when required.

About You
路Proven experience in housing repairs, maintenance or asset management within a social housing environment.
路Sound knowledge of repair processes and void management procedures.
路Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
路Confident communicator, able to build effective relationships with contractors, residents, and colleagues.
路High level of accuracy and attention to detail in maintaining records and reviewing invoices.
路Strong IT skills including experience using housing management systems and Microsoft Office.
路A team player with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
