Learning Support Assistant

We are working with a welcoming primary school in Catford who are seeking a full-time Learning Support Assistant to support children in Reception and Nursery from September. This is a rewarding long-term role working on a 1:1 and small group basis with pupils who have additional needs.

• Supporting Reception and Nursery age children with special educational needs (SEN)

• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support

• Helping pupils access learning and make progress across the EYFS curriculum

• Encouraging social interaction, independence and communication skills

• Building strong relationships with children, staff and parents

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in EYFS

• A calm, patient and nurturing approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Must be available full-time from September

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

• A friendly and inclusive early years team

• Ongoing training and development opportunities

• Supportive leadership who prioritise staff wellbeing

• Excellent transport links across Lewisham and South East London
