Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant passionate about making a difference in the life of a child with autism?

We're working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in South East London seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with autism on a full-time, long-term basis.

This role is ideal for someone patient, proactive, and genuinely motivated to help children thrive - both academically and emotionally.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1/Group support for pupils with autism in a nurturing mainstream classroom.
  • Implement personalised learning activities to develop communication, independence, and social skills.
  • Encourage engagement through curriculum-based play, sensory exploration, and creative learning.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals (e.g. Speech and Language Therapists).
  • Foster confidence, routine, and positive peer interaction.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience as an LSA, TA, or SEN Support Worker.
  • Confident supporting pupils with autism and communication needs.
  • Calm, nurturing, and adaptable in your approach.
  • Committed to long-term development in SEN education.
