Male Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Lambeth

We are currently recruiting a Male Learning Support Assistant to work within a supportive school setting in Lambeth. This role is ideal for an experienced LSA who is confident supporting pupils with additional needs and managing challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent manner.

Rate: 95-115 per day
Location: Lambeth
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday



The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, supporting their learning, behaviour, and personal care needs throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies

  • Assisting with personal care when required

  • Administering medication in line with school policies and procedures

  • Supporting pupils to access learning and engage positively in the classroom

  • Working closely with teaching staff, SEN teams, and external professionals

  • Ensuring safeguarding and pupil wellbeing are prioritised at all times



Requirements

  • Male candidate (required)

  • Proven experience managing challenging behaviour

  • Experience with medication administration

  • Experience providing personal care

  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach

  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
