Caritas Futures is proud to support a renowned charity dedicated to combating domestic violence. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVAs) for temporary ongoing hybrid roles based in London.

Role Overview:
As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA), you will provide specialist support to high-risk victims and survivors of domestic violence and abuse. Working both remotely and on-site, you will undertake risk assessments, safety planning, and liaise with multi-agency partners to ensure the safety and well-being of those in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for high-risk domestic abuse cases.
  • Develop and implement tailored safety and support plans.
  • Work closely with law enforcement.
  • Provide emotional support and practical assistance to survivors of domestic abuse.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure their needs and safety are prioritized.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as an IDVA or in a similar advocacy/support role.
  • A current DBS on the update service, or willingness to undergo one.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults and risk management.
  • Ability to work flexibly in a hybrid environment (remote and in-office in London).
  • Commitment to the well-being and safety of vulnerable individuals.
