- Ensure the safety, security, and welfare of young people during the night.
- Provide emotional reassurance and practical support as needed.
- Carry out regular checks and maintain detailed nightly records.
- Follow individual care plans and safeguarding procedures.
- Support with morning routines and handovers to day staff.
- Maintain a clean, welcoming, and homely environment.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people (residential, education, or similar setting desirable).
- A caring, patient, and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain calm and responsive in challenging situations.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Flexibility to work a rolling 2-week night shift pattern.
