Head of EDI and Wellbeing - Rail/Transportation - £95,000 - East London with hybrid working This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior EDI and Wellbeing Specialist to join a leading rail/transportation organisation based in East London. Reporting into the People Director you will be responsible for developing and implementing their EDI and Wellbeing strategy, driving the integration of EDI and Wellbeing principles into all processes. Your key accountabilities will include:-

  • Acting as the strategic subject matter expert on EDI and Wellbeing to the senior leadership team
  • Integrating EDI and Wellbeing principles into recruitment, talent development, customer experience and community engagement
  • Building, developing and supporting employee resource groups and inclusion networks
  • Delivering training for all levels of colleagues on inclusive behaviours, bias, accessibility, and wellbeing awareness
  • Building partnerships with occupational health, mental health first aiders, EAP services, and relevant wellbeing charities
  • Fostering relationships with community partners, social mobility programmes, disability advocates, and educational institutions
  • Leading on the collection, analysis, and interpretation of diversity and wellbeing data

You should be an experienced Head of EDI and Wellbeing with a track record of developing and implementing strategies in a complex operational environment. A deep understanding of UK equality legislation, regulatory standards, and inclusive policy frameworks needs to be combined with experience of managing wellbeing programmes in a customer focused environment. An ability to build excellent relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally is essential. Ideally you will have worked in an unionised environment.
