Housing Liaison Officer

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Housing Liaison Officer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about delivering high-quality tenancy services and working directly with residents to resolve issues and improve their housing experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high quality, flexible tenancy management services
  • Conduct tenancy checks, manage tenancy changes, and support new tenancies
  • Handle low-level anti-social behaviour and liaise with relevant agencies
  • Conduct pre-termination visits, viewings, sign-ups, and welcome visits
  • Provide advice on tenancy issues and housing options
  • Ensure tenancy sustainment through effective support and partnership working
  • Serve notices and investigate unauthorised occupation
  • Undertake visits to tenants and provide tailored support plans
  • Monitor and manage cases of vulnerability
  • Respond promptly to resident enquiries and complaints
  • Maintain accurate records and document management systems
  • Stay up to date on tenancy law and housing policy
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
  • Support performance monitoring and continuous improvement efforts
  • Promote and adhere to Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity, and Safeguarding policies

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a housing organisation
  • Familiarity with housing legislation and social housing systems
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
  • Confident using IT systems including Microsoft Office
  • Clear communication skills - verbal and written
  • Understanding of social housing, tenancy law, and safeguarding
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a strong commitment to customer service
