Temporary Accommodation Officer, East London Pay rate £29.29 per hour Contract role, Temporary Accommodation Move On Officer Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Temporary Accommodation Move On Officer in the East London area. You will need to have experience in a similar role in a Local Authority setting. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the move-on accommodation needs of households in temporary accommodation. 
  • Support applicants with bidding strategies, private rented sector offers, and access to specialist housing. 
  • Ensure all placements comply with statutory requirements and council policies. 
  • Provide support to negotiate affordable rent levels where necessary. 
  • Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure timely use of available properties. 
  • Provide advice on income maximisation, debt management, and tenancy responsibilities. 
  • Maintain accurate records, ensuring cases are progressed efficiently.  
About You:
  • We are looking for a motivated individual with: Knowledge of homelessness legislation, housing law, and landlord-tenant regulations. 
  • Experience in housing allocations, casework, and customer support. 
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. 
  • The ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners. 
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills.
