We are seeking a dedicated Physics Teacher to join our high-performing team at a Further Education establishment. This role involves designing, developing, and delivering educational material across GCSE and A Level subjects, including Applied Science. Our A Level programmes are recognised for excellence, and our GCSE courses cater to a diverse student body, including newcomers to the country and those aiming to improve their qualifications.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and deliver dynamic educational programmes using a variety of teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs.
  • Assess student needs continuously and implement timely interventions to address learning gaps.
  • Plan and facilitate learning sessions that align with course objectives and assessment standards.
  • Monitor and enhance the quality and effectiveness of learning sessions and personal teaching practices.
  • Promote subject areas during College events and support student recruitment efforts.
  • Safeguard the welfare of all students and promote high standards in health and safety and customer care.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students, aiding in their overall success and progression.
  • Engage with external agencies, parents, and carers to deliver a comprehensive educational experience.
  • Utilise data to manage courses effectively and inform teaching practices.
  • Participate in professional development to stay current with educational research and practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in teaching GCSE and A Level subjects, is required.
  • Ability to design and implement effective learning materials and assessments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching practices.
  • Knowledge of current educational technology and platforms that support learning.
  • Understanding of and commitment to safeguarding, equality, and diversity policies.
