Band 6 Social Worker - Older Adults Mental Health Location: Suttons House, 26 Gubbins Lane, Harold Wood, Essex RM3 0QA (Agile/Community based) Service: Havering Older Adults Mental Health Team Contract Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday (9am-5pm) Start Date: 30th June 2025 Pay Rate: Band 6 28 umbrella equivalant Reference: GK923 Overview We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Band 6 Social Worker to join the Havering Older Adults Mental Health Team. This is a community-based role supporting older people with mental health needs, including those under the Memory Service. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload within a community setting under supervision and support. Undertake assessments of new referrals to the service. Liaise with service users, carers, and families via phone and in-person. Take part in duty cover on a rota basis. Care coordinate cases in line with CPA. Participate in regular multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings. Essential Requirements Qualified Social Worker with current registration. Experience working in community mental health settings, ideally with older adults. Ability to manage and prioritise a caseload independently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience in Memory Services or similar older adult pathways is desirable.
