Nwando Care is looking for an exceptional, compassionate, and experienced individual to join our team as a Field Care Supervisor in the Haringey/Barnet area.
This is a pivotal role that goes beyond typical supervision. You will be the crucial link between our Service Users, our dedicated Carers, and the wider management team. You will blend essential hands-on care with critical clinical and people management, driving the standard of excellence across your patch.
Key Responsibilities: Blending Care and Leadership
Your role is split between direct care delivery and management oversight, ensuring maximum impact:
1. Clinical Leadership & Care Delivery (Minimum 50% of time)
-
Assessments & Planning: Conduct comprehensive initial visits, set up robust care packages, and complete all necessary paperwork, including detailed risk assessments for new Service Users.
-
Essential Support: Participate in the out-of-hours ‘on-call’ rota alongside other senior staff, ensuring continuous support is available when needed.
2. Team Management & Quality Assurance (QA)
-
Mentoring & Training: Introduce Carers to new clients and provide essential practical training to new team members, ensuring they meet Nwando Care’s high standards.
-
Supervision & Support: Directly supervise Carers operating within the Haringey/Barnet area and undertake regular Quality Assurance (QA) visits to monitor and review care standards.
-
Stakeholder Engagement: Actively participate in service reviews and care conferences with social workers and liaise with other professional colleagues (e.g., Occupational Therapists) to continually review and amend care packages.
3. Communication & Compliance
-
Reporting: Be proactive in reporting back to the Care Co-ordinators on any issues concerning the delivery of care, Service User complaints, or resource issues to inform recruitment planning.
-
Partnerships: Develop positive, productive relationships with all external agencies involved in our Service Users' care, helping to further the company's reputation and business in the area.
