Job Title: EDT Social Worker - AMHP (Adults/Children)
Location: Lambeth Centralised AMHP Service
Rate: 43 per hour
Contract: Temporary / Fixed-term
About the Role:
Lambeth Centralised AMHP Service is seeking highly skilled Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHPs) to join their Daytime Emergency Duty Team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced AMHPs to make a real difference in the lives of adults and children requiring urgent mental health intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake statutory AMHP duties under the Mental Health Act (MHA).
Conduct assessments and make decisions regarding the detention of individuals under the MHA.
Work collaboratively with multi-agency teams to safeguard and support service users.
Maintain accurate and timely records in line with professional standards.
Requirements:
Fully qualified AMHP with current professional social work registration.
Current or recent experience as an AMHP is strongly preferred.
Confidence in undertaking all statutory AMHP responsibilities.
Strong communication, decision-making, and assessment skills.
