The London Borough of Lewisham are recruiting for an adults Mental Health Social Worker to join their Neighbourhood team 3. This is a full-time locum role working 35 hours a week. The Role: * Lewisham Council is looking to recruit an experienced adult mental health social worker for our Neighbourhood 3 Primary Care Mental Health Team (PCMHT). The PCMHT is a fully integrated fast-paced team offering a range of brief interventions. The social worker will act as a Mental Health Practitioner alongside colleagues from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation and the voluntary sector. They will undertake screening of new referrals while on duty, undertaking strengths-based assessments, support planning and stabilisation, as well as leading on adult safeguarding and Care Act assessments within the multi-disciplinary team. * The PCMHT is based in Downham and offers excellent transport links and free local parking. The successful candidate will have: * experience of adult mental health casework in a community mental health setting * strong assessment and engagement skills * knowledge of clinical and social issues and the management of risk in relation to mental health service-users * experience of working within the statutory framework of the CA 2014, MHA 1983 and MCA 2005. * the ability to manage a caseload in an integrated multi-disciplinary service undertaking fast-moving casework and regular MDT duties on rota. * experience of carrying out a range of assessments and interventions including adult safeguarding.
