An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Children in Need team in Islington. This is a dynamic and fast-paced role where you'll be at the heart of impactful, relationship-based practice, working directly with children and families to promote safety, stability, and positive change.

Key responsibilities:

  • Holding a manageable caseload of complex CIN and CP cases

  • Leading robust assessments, developing outcome-focused plans, and driving timely interventions

  • Supporting less experienced colleagues and contributing to a learning culture

  • Engaging confidently with children, families, and professionals to build trust and effective support networks

  • Ensuring all practice is in line with statutory requirements and best practice frameworks

What we're looking for:

  • SWE-registered Social Worker with strong frontline experience

  • Solid understanding of the Children Act 1989/2004 and safeguarding frameworks

  • Confidence in managing risk and using professional judgement

  • A commitment to child-centred, strengths-based practice
