About Us

Join our dedicated Family Help Service team in London, where we work passionately to support children and families in need. Our mission is to provide timely, effective, and compassionate social work interventions that promote child safety, well-being, and positive outcomes.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and committed Social Worker to manage a caseload of around 17 families within the Family Help Service. The majority of cases will be low-level Child in Need (CiN), with one or two cases under Child Protection. This role requires a strong focus on engagement, assessment, and collaboration with families and multi-agency partners to deliver high-quality support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain a caseload of approximately 17 families, focusing on Child in Need cases with some Child Protection responsibilities.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and deliver interventions tailored to each family's needs.

  • Work collaboratively with children, families, and professionals across health, education, and community services.

  • Monitor and review cases regularly to ensure progress and safety, adjusting plans as necessary.

  • Prepare reports for conferences and court proceedings as required.

  • Ensure all work complies with statutory guidance, local policies, and safeguarding standards.

  • Participate actively in team meetings, supervision, and professional development activities.

Person Specification
  • Qualified Social Worker with current HCPC registration.

  • Proven experience working within Children's Services, ideally with Child in Need and Child Protection cases.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively.

  • Strong organisational skills to manage a mixed caseload effectively and meet deadlines.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Flexibility and resilience in a demanding but rewarding environment.
