A vacancy has become available for a Training and Nurse Educator to provide training and mentor for staff at all grades and designations across our nursing centre. This role will provide the highest possible standards of training and development opportunities for staff recognising that compassionate, competent staff are key to providing safe, high quality care services to meet our residents needs and preferences.
The ideal candidate will have had experience of working in a managerial post in a healthcare environment and currently holds or have held an NMC PIN qualification. Have had experience of supporting and mentoring staff. It is essential to have a good understanding of the CQC regulations and training requirements to work in an Adult Social Care setting. Effective verbal communication and organisation skills are essential to the role.
- Permanent role - full time 36hrs per week, Monday to Friday with occasional weekends and nights (flexible as per the needs of the business and training requirements)

The responsibilities are wide and varied and will include;
- Delivering mandatory training
- Assessing staff completing their care certificate
- Supporting and mentoring nursing staff with their clinical training and practice.
- Develop and lead on the training strategy for the Nursing Centre and then manage and implement individual and business training plans.
- Make sure learning methods are cost effective and make improvements where necessary. Review and revise training programmes at least annually and produce a record of database of lesson plans, with agreed outcomes and methodologies.
