Work as part of a team to create a safe and supportive environment
Carry out risk assessments and develop personalised support plans
Deliver high-quality support, including substance misuse interventions
Support residents with accessing health services, benefits, and training
Facilitate group activities, such as resident meetings and workshops
Collaborate with external agencies to ensure integrated support
Monitor and respond to safeguarding concerns, incidents, and anti-social behaviour

THE CANDIDATEWe are looking for a candidate with previous experience in a similar Housing Support Worker or Substance Misuse Support role.

Experience working with homeless individuals or those with substance misuse issues
Strong knowledge of risk assessments and support planning
Ability to handle challenging behaviour in a professional manner
Understanding of safeguarding, health & safety, and multi-agency working
Strong communication and IT skills for accurate record-keeping

THE CONTRACT

40 Hours per week – 22:00-08:30 currently, soon changing to 20:30-08:30 – this is on a 4-on, 4-off basis.
Permanent Contract
Pay: £27.352
