Job Title: Youth Justice OfficerLocation:Kessington and Chelsea Pay Rate: £22.36 PAYE | £27.84 UmbrellaAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced and passionate Youth Justice Officer to join our multi-disciplinary Youth Offending Team. In this vital role, you will work closely with vulnerable children, young people, and their families/carers who come into contact with the youth justice system, helping them to make meaningful and positive changes in their lives.Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of young people aged 10-17 subject to statutory Court orders or out-of-court disposals.
Supervise interventions in line with National Standards, local policies, and relevant legislation.
Write Pre-Sentence Reports, complete out-of-court assessments, and supervise custodial and community-based sentences.
Use systemic and evidence-based approaches to work effectively with families and guardians.
Collaborate with partner agencies and maintain strong multi-agency relationships in line with GDPR and information-sharing protocols.
Operate within the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 and other relevant youth justice, criminal, and child care legislation.

About You:

Qualified Social Worker, Probation Officer, or holder of a relevant professional qualification.
Significant experience in youth justice, including working in Court settings.
Strong understanding of youth justice legislation, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in the preparation of reports.
Ability to build positive relationships with young people and families, encouraging positive change.
Full driving licence and willingness to travel as required.

Additional Information:This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
