Lynx are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect for a 6-month Fixed Term Contract to support a major technology landscape project, beginning with a defined deliverable before transitioning into a broader architecture remit.
Phase 1 – Initial 3-Month Deliverable (Fixed Price)
The first phase will focus on designing and delivering a comprehensive Technology Reference Model (TRM) that maps the organisation’s entire technology landscape:
- Level 1: High-level technology domains (e.g., Infrastructure, Applications, Security)
- Level 2: Sub-domains or categories (e.g., Servers, Databases, Middleware)
- Level 3: Specific technology components or standards (e.g., Windows Server, Oracle Database, Apache Kafka)
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilise the CMDB as a core data source
- Produce TRM outputs in Visio format
- Review Lean IX IT Component Factsheet requirements to capture relevant information for upload
- Engage with technology owners to validate and sign off TRM and components
- Create a TRM catalogue with concise, referenceable definitions for all elements (Levels 1–3), based on standard templates and tailored to the organisation
Phase 2 – Interim Infrastructure Architect (3 Months+)
Following successful completion of the TRM deliverable, the role will transition into an interim Infrastructure Architect position for at least a further three months, with the focus to be defined in line with programme needs.
Key Details:
- Contract Type: FTC – 6 months total
- Salary: Up to £90,000 per annum
- Travel: 2 weeks in Dubai, 2 weeks in UK (rotation)
- Start Date: ASAP
