Our client is a pioneering UK-based fintech company delivering cutting-edge FX and trading solutions to global clients. With a strong foundation in software engineering and a culture built on technical excellence, they are now entering an exciting phase of platform redevelopment - with DevOps playing a critical role in their journey.

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their Front Office team and help drive innovation across our low-latency, event-driven systems. You will work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to enhance our platform's reliability, scalability, and automation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the development and optimisation of our CI/CD pipeline using GitLab.
  • Managing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments (Linux, Windows, macOS).
  • Coaching and mentoring engineering teams on DevOps best practices and tooling.
  • Improving system monitoring, incident detection, and resolution processes.
  • Building custom tools or integrating third-party solutions to strengthen our DevOps infrastructure.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years’ experience as a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer.
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes and strong hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD.
  • Proven ability to lead by example and support the upskilling of cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience working alongside JavaScript, Kotlin, or Java engineers is a plus.

In this role, you will take the lead in developing and optimising our CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, while managing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters across diverse environments including Linux, Windows, and macOS. You’ll play a key role in mentoring and coaching engineering teams, promoting DevOps best practices, and enhancing our overall development workflows. Collaborating closely with infrastructure, development, and business teams, you’ll help drive improvements in system monitoring, incident detection, and resolution. You’ll also have the opportunity to design and implement custom tools or integrate third-party solutions to strengthen our DevOps infrastructure.
