Our prestigious client, a leading corporate and investment banking entity with a global presence, is looking for an inside IR 35 contract ITSÂ Application Services (ENET) Engineer with expert knowledge of ELK stack This role is pivotal in supporting and managing the infrastructure that underpins the bank's electronic trading systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:- Expert-level knowledge of the Elastic Stack with experience in high-performance environments.
- Strong understanding of IP networking, data flow within distributed systems, and security best practices.
- Experience with scripting in Python and/or PowerShell for automation of deployment, monitoring, and alerting pipelines.
- Familiarity with trading infrastructures and protocols (FIX, Market Data, Order Entry), and the demands of high-frequency and algorithmic trading environments.
- Proficiency in Linux systems, containers, and cloud-native observability stacks.
- Experience with Corvil, Pico tools, or similar for network telemetry ingestion.
- Exposure to observability platforms such as ITRS Geneos.
- Experience in data science integration, machine-learning models, and data-processing frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).Day-to-day of the role:
- Architect, deploy, and manage the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats) across distributed, high-performance environments.
- Ensure optimal index lifecycle management, shard optimization, and cluster health to support low latency applications.
- Integrate ELK with packet capture/analysis tools to enhance system observability.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines and ingestion strategies for scalable telemetry.
- Work with Solace and other low latency messaging platforms to support event-driven architectures in financial systems.
- Manage security practices within Elasticsearch, including RBAC, TLS, and audit logging.
- Coordinate with global teams to deliver infrastructure and OS tuning to optimize the performance of Forex (FX) and Fixed Income (FI) applications.

- Strong communication skills, capable of interacting professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic, high-performance trading environment.
- Flexible working between the office and home with occasional international travel required.
