Infrastructure Engineer - 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract

Location: London

Hybrid Working 2/3 days onsite in central London

A leading global law firm is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their collaborative IT team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-performing international environment, supporting infrastructure operations and cloud transformation initiatives.

About the Role

Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager, the Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and optimising core infrastructure systems, with a strong focus on Entra ID administration, Microsoft 365 technologies, and supporting hybrid cloud services. You will act as second-line support to the Service Desk and work closely with Team Leads to ensure systems availability, performance, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and optimise the firm's Entra-ID tenant and configure MFA.

  • Manage and troubleshoot Exchange Online, email routing, and Office 365 Admin Centre.

  • Support email protection tools including Mimecast, Defender for M365, and Tessian Gateway.

  • Implement CrowdStrike antivirus and manage backups via Veeam, including OneDrive and Exchange Online.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Hands-on experience managing:

    • Exchange Online, Office 365

    • Mimecast, Defender for M365, Tessian Gateway

    • CrowdStrike, Veeam backups

    • SMTP Relay, Entra ID, Active Directory

  • Knowledge of DMARC, DLP, and data protection best practices.

  • Experience working in a professional services environment, ideally within legal or finance.
