Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Windows) London to £130k

Are you a senior Infrastructure Engineer with an indepth knowledge of Windows?

You could be progressing your career at one of the world's oldest Hedge Funds with $10 billion under management, you'll be based in amazing offices with free onsite gym as well as other perks such as catered lunches and the flexibility to work from home once a week.

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer your responsibilities will include deployment, configuration, troubleshooting and management of the company's IT infrastructure including Windows Server administration and troubleshooting; 3rd line support; network hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers); voice and video hardware and software as well as assisting with on-prem and cloud compute infrastructure (Azure).

Location:

You'll join colleagues in the London office, with some flexibility around start and finish times and one day a week work from home.

About you:

  • You have strong Windows Systems Administration experience (Active Directory, Group Policy, Virtualisation, Backup services, etc.) within a Hedge Fund / Finance environment
  • You have scripting experience with PowerShell, Python or similar
  • You have experience with application packaging and deployment
  • You have a good understanding of basic networking concepts and switching
  • You're process orientated yet able to think creatively and problem solve
  • You're a collaborative team member with great communication skills
  • Ideally you will have Azure cloud based experience, and are familiar with IaC tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, Cloud Formation
  • You're likely to be degree educated, 2.1 or above, Computer Science preferred although this isn't necessary if you have the right skills and experience
