Summer-Browning Associates are currently supporting a consultancy (end client is Central Government who are seeking a SharePoint Developer on a 9 month assignment.

Service Location:London (Hybrid)

As a SharePoint Developer your main responsibilities will be to:

Duties

  • Design, develop, and implement SharePoint on-premise solutions, including web parts, workflows, and applications.
  • Customize SharePoint UI/UX using JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and HTML.
  • Develop and deploy SharePoint solutions using SharePoint Designer and Visual Studio.
  • Configure and manage SharePoint services, including search, user profiles, and content management.
  • Create and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and deployment.
  • Integrate SharePoint with third-party applications and enterprise systems.
  • Implement governance and security policies for SharePoint environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SharePoint performance and functionality.
  • Provide user training and documentation for SharePoint applications and features.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops and presentations to communicate concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience

  • Strong experience in SharePoint 2016/2019/SE on-premise development and administration including the underlying host Window Server systems.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint Framework (SPFx), SharePoint Designer, and Visual Studio.
  • Strong knowledge of C#, .NET, PowerShell, JavaScript, jQuery, REST API, and CSOM.
  • Experience with SQL Server, including writing queries and stored procedures.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint workflows (Nintex, Power Automate, or SharePoint Designer workflows).
  • Experience in SharePoint migration projects (preferably from older versions).
  • Understanding of authentication mechanisms, including Active Directory and Single Sign-On (SSO).
  • Familiarity with Power BI and reporting solutions.
  • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Comfortable with automation and centralised versioning tooling, e.g. Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket etc., to deploy changes to SharePoint Environments.
  • Understanding of SharePoint governance and compliance best practices.
