Rate: £90-£115 per day

We are looking for a superb 2:1 SEN Teaching Assistant looking to advance your experience in Education. If you are, we have a fantastic opportunity for you. As a 2:1 SEN Teaching Assistant you will be supporting a student with moderate ASD in a 2:1 setting. This fantastic opportunity will allow you to work in a partnership with other SEN professionals to aid the pupil to produce the maximum results.

We welcome your interest in working in this flourishing school whilst collaborating with the Year 6 classroom teacher and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student.

The ideal candidate SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with SEMH students.
  • A solid understanding of SEN and effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals.
  • A commitment to supporting high-quality education for students with SEN needs.
