Are you looking for a new role in education? Do you enjoy the challenge of helping young people engage in education, developing their social development and life skills?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for passionate individuals to offer behaviour support in our schools and alternative provisions near central London. The majority of roles are full time, long-term roles with opportunities to secure permanent salaried positions.

Schools, PRUs and alternative educational settings:

Tradewind work in partnership with a number of specialist schools who cater for young learners with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)

Similarly, PRUs or pupil referral units help to educate and support students who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school or those who are at risk of exclusion.

Some young people may also be school refusers and have additional special educational needs.

Classes tend to be smaller in these settings and students are given a higher level of specialised support to help them engage, focus and succeed!

The role:

  • Supporting students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Helping students manage their behaviour
  • Helping students gain a better understanding of their emotions
  • Encouraging and promoting student engagement in learning activities
  • Working as key player within the support network
  • Celebrating every success!

For your application to be successful you will need:

  • Experience of supporting children/young people with SEMH
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • To be open-minded and have a positive and supportive approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have legal right to work in the UK
