A welcoming and vibrant community primary school in Wandsworth is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team in September on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a small community focused learning environment.

The Role

In this role you will be based in a Reception class working as a full time classroom assistant. There has been a larger than average intake of pupils with Special Educational Needs and therefore the school are looking for an additional SEN Teaching Assistant to focus on supporting these pupils. Your role will be a combination of some 1 to 1 support as well as leading small groups and supporting the children with additional needs to integrate and access the curriculum. You will work alongside teaching staff, the SEN team, external support agencies and the family to ensure the children have the support they require. 

The school are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant with previous experience in early years and an understanding of supporting children with SEND.

This community-focused primary school opened in 2020 and offers a bilingual education, combining the National Curriculum with Portuguese language instruction provided by specialists. The school is growing steadily, currently catering to pupils from Reception to Year 4.
