Job Description:

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs?

A welcoming and inclusive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Lambeth is seeking a confident and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a long-term position, ideal for someone with prior experience supporting students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges.

You will play a vital role in ensuring students feel supported, included, and able to access learning tailored to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN

  • Assist with behaviour regulation strategies and learning interventions

  • Collaborate closely with class teachers, therapists, and SENCOs

  • Support EHCP goals and implement individual learning plans

  • Help maintain a safe, positive, and structured learning environment

Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 months' experience working in a SEN setting (school or similar)

  • Excellent understanding of ASD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties

  • Confident managing behaviour positively and calmly

  • Able to build strong relationships with students and staff

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Right to work in the UK
