SEND Teaching Assistant Role
Empowering Learning is currently looking for an Experienced SEND Teaching Assistants based in West London and surrounding areas. This is a temporary position with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate. We are looking for a resilient and positive professional for this full-time position.
SEND Teaching Assistant - Job Responsibilities
- Ensuring school rules are adhered to.
- Working with students across all key stages with mixed abilities including SEND, PMLD
- Offering support and empathy to children requiring assistance
- Reporting health and safety issues on-site to the maintenance team to resolve.
- Communicating effectively with teachers/children about any concerns or issues
- Risk assessing the environment and responding accordingly.
- Observing behaviour, intervening, and addressing when necessary, reporting any safeguarding issues through the correct channels

Experience, Training & Qualifications
- Legal right to work in the UK. (no sponserships)
- First Aid Training (desirable)
- Subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, or overseas Police clearances (if applicable)
- Education experience
