A friendly and inclusive secondary school in Hackney is on the lookout for a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a student with special educational needs. This is an ideal role for someone interested in pursuing a career in SEN, educational psychology, or therapy.

You'll play a key part in helping a young person access learning, regulate emotions and build essential life skills.

Your Role:

  • Work closely with a student who has an EHCP
  • Implement SEN strategies and support learning
  • Provide help with social, emotional and communication needs
  • Track progress and adapt approaches with guidance from the SENCO

You'll Need:

  • A degree and an interest in SEN or youth support
  • Patience, empathy and resilience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn
  • Some experience with young people is an advantage
