Are you ready and looking for your next position to help shape the start of childrens education?Horizon Teachers are currently working with an Ofsted Outstanding rated Primary School in Lewisham that are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in their Year 4 class that requires extra support in their learning, as they are currently working at a lower level and have mild learning difficulties. This role is to start ASAP after the half-term until the end of the academic year in July 2025, on a full time basis. This position has the potential to continue from September until July 2026.As a Learning Support Assistant you will need to help manage their behaviour and closely support them in their classroom work and during break times. You will need to be resilient and be able to quickly create a rapport with the child to help support them. This will be a very rewarding role for the right person and will pay up to £575 per week.What the school are looking for in their Learning Support Assistants:
  • Experience supporting children within a Nursery or School setting.
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is very desirable.
  • Confident working 1:1 and within small groups of children
  • Be able to assist the class teacher with classroom preparation
