- To work with individual and/or groups of students with learning difficulties, both in class and in the learning support base to enable students to access the curriculum
- To prepare and adapt resources used in class to ensure that they are accessible to students with special and additional learning needs
- To monitor students in lessons and provide teachers with feedback on participation and progress
- To work as part of a team and enjoy working with students and professional including specialist therapy providers
- Assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment
- To supervise pupils during leisure time including on the playground
- To be aware of the school's child protection policies and procedures and report them immediately to the class teacher and/ or the Head Teacher any concerns about a pupil's well-being.
- Participate in inset days, training activities and sessions offered by the school and other external agencies
