Job Opportunity: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant
Location: PutneyStart Date: September 2025 (Trial available before start date)
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and making a real difference in their learning journey We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our vibrant mainstream primary school. If you have a strong background in supporting students with SEN and are ready to take on a rewarding role, we want to hear from you!
The Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with students who require additional support to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. Your role will involve:

Supporting individual children or small groups of children with a variety of SEN needs

Helping to implement tailored learning plans and activities

Promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Collaborating with teachers and the SENCO to monitor and track progress

Encouraging social, emotional, and behavioural development
What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience supporting children with SEN in a mainstream primary setting

A strong understanding of different SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH
-
The ability to adapt quickly to different teaching methods and learning environments
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A proactive, positive, and patient approach to working with children

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team
