Job Opportunity: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant

Location: Putney
Start Date: September 2025 (Trial available before start date)

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and making a real difference in their learning journey We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our vibrant mainstream primary school. If you have a strong background in supporting students with SEN and are ready to take on a rewarding role, we want to hear from you!

The Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with students who require additional support to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. Your role will involve:

  • Supporting individual children or small groups of children with a variety of SEN needs

  • Helping to implement tailored learning plans and activities

  • Promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment

  • Collaborating with teachers and the SENCO to monitor and track progress

  • Encouraging social, emotional, and behavioural development

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience supporting children with SEN in a mainstream primary setting

  • A strong understanding of different SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH

  • The ability to adapt quickly to different teaching methods and learning environments

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A proactive, positive, and patient approach to working with children

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team
