A Mainstream Primary School with a Special Resource Provision (SRP) are searching for x4 Teaching Assistants to join them this September 2025.

School Details - SEN Teaching Assistant

  • The SRP is a bridge between a mainstream primary school and a special needs school.
  • Two classes, 7-9 children each, with a teacher and two TAs in each class.
  • Children have a range of needs including;
    • Social, Communication and Interaction delays/difficulties
    • Autism
    • Speech and Language delay
    • Sensory processing difficulties
    • Physical self-help difficulties (can require intimate care)
    • Cognition and learning delay
    • Global Delay
    • Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
  • The provision is mostly play-based, with children dipping into subject-specific curriculum as and when they are suitable based on their developmental ability.
  • Located in Newham
  • Free parking on site, large school site surrounded by nature.

Job Spec - SEN Teaching Assistant

  • 105 - 110 per day
  • 08:30 - 16:00 working hours
  • September 2025 Start
  • Full-time - Full Academic Year
  • Supporting EYFS, KS1 and KS2 children - ages 5-9
  • Learning through play, is very holistic and fun!
  • Perfectly suited for Psychology graduates or those interested in SEN, Mental Health and Psychology.
