We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with a range of additional needs in welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary schools across Islington.
About the Role:You will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis with special educational needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. This is a highly rewarding role for someone with a calm, patient and adaptable approach who is passionate about inclusion and pupil progress.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated SEN support under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO

Support learning through targeted interventions and differentiated resources

Help pupils engage with classroom activities and develop their confidence

Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies

Maintain clear records of progress and communicate effectively with staff and parents
What We're Looking For:

Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or childcare setting

A caring, empathetic, and proactive attitude
-
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
-
A commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
-
Understanding of EHCPs, behaviour strategies, or specialist approaches (e.g., PECS, Makaton, Zones of Regulation) is a bonus
