Are you a patient, resilient and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting children with severe special educational needs?

A highly regarded SEN school in Lambeth is seeking a committed Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support students with severe and complex needs, including physical disabilities, autism, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and non-verbal communication.

This is a full-time, long-term role with the opportunity to go permanent for the right person.

The Role:
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis with a range of severe learning difficulties

  • Assisting with personal care, mobility, and feeding (where required)

  • Using communication tools such as PECs, Makaton, or AAC devices

  • Helping to maintain a structured, positive, and safe learning environment

  • Working closely with the class teacher, therapists, and SEN staff to deliver personalised learning

What We're Looking For:
  • Experience supporting children or young adults with severe SEN (education, care or medical setting)

  • Understanding of complex needs, autism, PMLD or non-verbal learners

  • Calm, caring and professional approach

  • Willingness to assist with personal care

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
