The Role
Hays Education is working in partnership with a welcoming one-form entry Church of England primary school in Westminster to recruit a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant. This full-time role offers an immediate start and long-term potential for the right candidate.
You will support a Year 4 pupil who is currently working at a Year 1 level, providing tailored assistance to help them access the curriculum and develop socially and emotionally. You will also be required to work with groups of children within the year 4 class or other classes as needed. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a nurturing approach and a strong understanding of differentiated learning.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs

Adapt learning materials to suit pupils’ developmental levels

Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCPs and personalised learning plans

Support pupils with emotional regulation and social development
Candidate Requirements

Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting

A calm, empathetic, and flexible approach to learning support
