Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting individual learning needs? A vibrant and welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets, just minutes from Canary Wharf, is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 student with additional needs.

The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant:
  • Support a Year 4 pupil with SEN on a 1:1 basis throughout the school day.
  • Implement tailored strategies and follow the student's individual education plan (IEP).
  • Assist with classroom integration, ensuring the pupil can access the full curriculum.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor and support progress.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
  • Understanding of a range of special educational needs (ASD, ADHD, MLD, etc.).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and flexible when supporting complex needs.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
