SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School - September 2025 Start?? Location: Southwark, London?? Start Date: September 2025?? Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm (Term Time Only)?? Daily Pay Rate: £96 - £104 per day (PAYE - Paid Weekly)

We are currently recruiting a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant for a supportive and inclusive mainstream primary school located in the London Borough of Southwark. This full-time, long-term position is set to begin in September 2025 and is ideal for an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) or aspiring Teaching Assistant seeking to build a career in SEN education.

? Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support and small group interventions for pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, and other additional learning needs

  • Collaborate with the SENCO and classroom teachers to implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)

  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and academic progress

  • Track pupil progress and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and reviews

?? Ideal Teaching Assistant:
  • Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary school setting

  • Passionate about inclusive education and pupil development

  • Calm, patient, and resilient with strong behaviour management skills

  • A relevant qualification in education or SEN is desirable but not essential

  • Must be available Monday to Friday, full school hours, term time only
