Are you a SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new role in North London? Or are you a mainstream TA who would like to support children in an SEN school?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for experienced TAs to join this SEN school in North London as an SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a full time, long-term role starting in September 2025 with an opportunity to go permanent.

The School:

The school is a community-maintained special needs school in the London Borough of Enfield who are committed to providing the best education. Their school community is passionate and create innovative learning opportunities to promote holistic development.

The building is designed by experts and architects through the Department for Education's 'Building Schools for the Future' initiative. They have worked hard to design and embed research-informed curriculum which emphasises 'Deep Learning' by responding to each student's point of learning. There is a range of expertise throughout this school, from highly skilled teachers and teaching assistants to a range of teams and leaders. Together they ensure every child's needs are met.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for the below:

  • Supporting SEN students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Encouraging and promoting student engagement in learning activities
  • Contributing to support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student
  • Collaborating with staff, parents/carers, and outside agencies
  • Monitoring and recording student progress and achievements

To join us and be successful in this role you will ideally need :

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
