Remedy Education is looking to appoint a committed and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-resourced and welcoming SEN school in Lambeth. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, global developmental delay, and physical disabilities.

Role Summary:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide targeted support to students, helping them access learning, develop life skills, and participate fully in school life. This may include 1:1 or small group support, depending on students' needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with complex needs, including non-verbal and wheelchair users

  • Implement individual learning plans under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO

  • Assist with personal care tasks when required

  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation

  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Previous experience in a school or SEN setting (essential)

  • A strong understanding of Autism and associated learning needs

  • A calm, caring, and adaptable approach

  • Confidence in supporting students with communication challenges and physical needs

  • A collaborative attitude and excellent communication skills
