Salary: 85 - 100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, with potential to continue into September 2025
A welcoming, inclusive primary school in Islington is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with Autism in their Early Years setting. This is an immediate start role with the opportunity for the right candidate to remain with the school into the next academic year.
About the Role:
Provide tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism in the Early Years
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans
Assist with communication, social skills and engagement in classroom activities
Support the child's personal, social, and emotional development throughout the school day
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience supporting children with Autism in a school or Early Years setting
Calm, patient and nurturing approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Able to work effectively as part of a team
Committed to making a positive impact on a young learner's development
